Cleaning your Teeth Properly is Important

In order to keep your teeth and gums in the best condition, you will need to know how to properly clean your teeth. Always remember to go to dental check-ups, as we can inspect the teeth, gums, tongue, and mouth. We can also do x-rays to look if any issues are forming below the gums or between your teeth.

Make sure that you brush your teeth at least twice a day. This will help to remove food particles from your teeth. If you are not sure what toothbrush is right for you, make sure to contact us. Typically an electric toothbrush will do the best at cleaning your teeth. It is also easy to handle and you will not have to worry if you are brushing too hard or not putting enough pressure against the tooth.

Also remember to floss at least once a day. This is important because it removes food that is between your teeth. If this is ignored, the food can start to cause plaque and a cavity. It is best to floss after each meal, in order to remove the food particles.

If you start to notice any pain or discomfort in your mouth, contact us as soon as possible. By checking an issue at the first sign, you can help prevent the chance for a cavity or something worse in the long run. The longer you ignore a cavity, the more damage it can do. This can result in a root canal if it is not treated immediately. Coming in for regular check-ups can help provide you with a happy and healthy mouth.
